By registering in the Program, Participant agrees that they consent to receive communications from Doane Music School for the purpose of communicating Program information and opportunities. These communications are governed by the Doane Music School Privacy Policy which is as follows:

Doane Music School is committed to protecting the privacy of all personal information obtained while providing its services and fulfilling its charitable activities. During the course of our various activities, Uschool gathers and uses personal information.  Our parents, students, teachers, volunteers and donors should expect that personal information will be carefully protected.  Uschool’s commitment to ensuring such protection is governed by the following privacy principles:

1.  Accountability

Doane Music School is responsible for all personal information under its control including any personal information that is transferred to third parties for processing, storage or other purposes.

2.  Identifying Purposes

Doane Music School will identify the purpose for which personal information is collected.  We may collect, use and disclose personal information concerning our parents, students, teachers, volunteers and donors to provide services in accordance with the mandate and objects of Doane Music School, to manage and develop our business and operations and to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

 When you visit Doane Music School’s website, personal information is not collected that could identify you unless you choose to provide it voluntarily.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the websites to which our website may link.

3.  Consent

Doane Music School will obtain consent to collect, use or disclose personal information either by directly requesting it, or consent may be implied by conduct in providing the information to Uschool. The method of obtaining consent will be appropriate to the type of personal information being collected, used or disclosed.  Express consent (either oral or written) will be obtained for sensitive personal information, such as financial information. We may rely on implied consent for less sensitive information, where one or more of the following apply (i) a relationship already exists; (ii) Express consent has previously been given; or (iii) the purpose of using the personal information is reasonably apparent.

 Doane Music School will not disclose personal information to any third party without your written consent, unless it is required by law to do so or as otherwise required for the agreed-upon purpose.

4.  Limiting Collection

Doane Music School collects only the personal information necessary for our identified purposes. We will collect personal information fair and lawful means.

Like other websites, Doane Music School’s website utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” to track performance and collect information on how the website is used.  Cookies are used anonymously and without storing personally identifiable information.  Visitors to Uschool’s website that wish to opt-out of cookies should review the help documentation from their browser software to decline or selectively decline cookies.  Note that declining cookies may impact site performance.

Doane Music School uses and discloses personal information only for the identified purposes, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. Doane Music School may use service providers located outside of Canada, and, if applicable, your personal information may be processed and stored in other countries and therefore may be subject to disclosure under the laws of those countries.

Doane Music School is committed to maintaining the accuracy of personal information for as long as it is being used. We will use best efforts to ensure that all personal information in its possession is kept up to date, accurate and relevant for its intended use.
